Nathan resides in Caledon where he has developed a respect for the beauty and history of the area. It has influenced, inspired and nurtured his photography. To improve his photographic skills Nathan has attended courses, workshops and seminars, and entered competitions. He is a member of Headwaters Arts and the Halton Hills Camera Club and over the years has met many other enthusiastic and supportive photographers and artists.
Whether he is traveling in a remote, exotic place or close to home, his camera is close at hand and ready to capture the unexpected, the beauty or the mood at the time. Photography compliments his other interests, those being, nature, architecture, travel and history. Nathan’s preferred subject matter is eclectic and includes landscapes, portraiture, macro and contemporary, to name a few and recently he has strayed from his comfort level to include people. He also enjoys experimenting with his photographs; creating surreal and altered realities by combining multiple images, adding textures and changing the perspective.
For twenty years Nathan has produced the Caledon Collection, a series of photo cards, which represents an ongoing photographic study of Caledon and the surrounding area.
